Audio Player Blind Bargains Qast 70: The Bard On BARD

We're back from vacation. No really we are, with lots of news to catch up on from all that time away. J.J., Joe and Patrick might be a little rusty this week. However, that just allowed for some very interesting conversations in our Discussion Topic. Even with all this news, we managed to still find a way to fit in "Sound Off" and the "Last Word". And perhaps the first time we've ad-libbed a tip in the middle of a program.

We made mention of two events at the top of the show. Here is more information about the memorial for the young dynamic student we lost from our community.

Discussion Topic: Windows 10 One year Later

Don't call it a Service Pack; August brought us an updated version of Windows 10 that could cause some confusion if you saw it listed by a crazy Twitter abbreviation named "Win10AE". Windows 10 Anniversary Edition, or some note it as Windows 10 Anniversary update, brings with it a speedier experience with a few new features. However, it also brought along a lot more opinions from the Blind and Low Vision community. In this portion of the program we'll talk about some of the stories listed below and give some Monday Morning Quarterbacking perspectives.

The articles listed below are just some additional stories about Windows 10 Joe was compiling for an article. That idea was shelved, but it seems a waste not to place them here as some information was relevant to this week's topic.

Sound off:

We started off this week's feedback with our humble thanks to those of you who spoke to us at the Summer Conventions. The ideas mentioned to us can really shape how we approach each episode of the Blind Bargains Qast. And without your feedback on social media, email or in person... the show would probably be far less interesting for us to do or for you to hear.

Moreover, we couldn't do things like Summer Convention coverage without our sponsors and the kindness of those people you hear in each of our Convention Audios. many companies take time out of a busy day to speak with us and we so appreciate that as we know it can pose some problems at times. If you too appreciate our coverage, be sure to let that company we've interviewed know that you found their audio informative. You would be very surprised just how a simple mention of the blind bargains Qast to a company we have interviewed can impact our podcast.

And while we're mentioning impacts, we can't thank our amazing production Team enough for the behind the scenes work that is needed to bring you our various live offerings. Patrick, Ricky and Jamie you have heard us mention often. Chancey, Shelly, Dave and Scott are names you hear us say a lot more in recent times. All help bring this audio to your RSS feeds and we thank all of them for being a part of the Crew. oh, and an honorary mention to Byron for his audio capturing assistance on episode 68's live spectacular!

From feedback@blindbargains

"Hi,
I just listened to show number 68 and I think it was fabulous! You guys have to do more shows like that because it's not so structured it sounds like you're having so much fun. Keep up the good work and again I love the show.

the news cycle should be picking up steam with a new version of Android about to be released, an Apple event in early September and so many new gadgets to arrive before Thanksgiving. Stay tuned, it's just six months until ATIA... wait did we say that? Wow, we'd better start thinking about "This Year In A.T. 2016" then.
