I have this speaker. It has audio prompts, they are loud, no way to turn them off, or down. When a SD card is in the unit it will will go to sd card mode when first turned on. it will always come on at mid volume. Buttons are located at the bottom, and very thin. Button in the middle is more of a rocker button, than one while button. Right is to play and paws, and left is to go to go back a track, and volume down. Hold down volume buttons to change volume when in SD card mode.
