New Humanware Explore 8 Remains Portable While Packing in More Screen Real Estate


The line between small and large video magnifiers is becoming more blurry as Humanware releases an 8-inch model with portability and modern specs.
The new 8-inch Explore model includes both a 21-megapixel camera for close up reading and a distance camera for reading far away text. It features touchscreen and button controls and 4.5 hours of battery life. It also includes an HDMI output for connecting to a bigger screen and a built-in stand.
Humanware launched the Explore series of magnifiers at the beginning of 2016. This model appears to replace the Explore 7 which debuted for the same price at this time. The 3 and 5 inch models remain.
The Explore 8 is available from Humanware's site for $1,099. Here's the text of the press release:
