A Few Openings left for the Summer Science Spectacular for Blind Youth

Below is information on a week-long summer opportunity for blind youth. Read on for more details or for info on how to register. There's only a few spaces remaining.

Come join us July 28 through August 1 at the wonderful University of Michigan - Dearborn Environment Interpretive Center for a time of learning and fun at our Summer Science Spectacular.

This will be an emersion in science learning and fun. We will explore such topics as the physics of Tandem bicycling, watersheds, urban ecology, the physics of baseball and much, much more.

All activities will be totally accessible for blind and visually impaired learners and will feature successful blind scientist role models. We will use skills of blindness to participate in scientific experiments, data gathering and documentation.

So bring your curiosity, your thinking caps and be prepared to have fun with blind and visually impaired future scientists from all around Michigan.

For information on the application process and costs contact Fred Wurtzel at f.wurtzel@att.net or call 517-256-5575. Visit our website for updates and more information.
