knfbReader 1.4 Lets you OCR Pictures from Camera Roll, Includes Redesigned File Explorer


A new update to the knfbReader app for the iPhone has been posted with several improvements. Version 1.4 includes the ability to perform OCR on images from an Email or the camera roll, vertical tilt guidance, and a redesigned file explorer. It's a free upgrade and available from the iTunes App Store. The complete list of changes is below.

What's New in Version 1.4

  • New design for the file explorer, now all files in one table instead of three seperate tables.
  • Text recognition on images from e-mail or camera roll.
  • Vertical tilt detection added.
  • Optimized voice-over and Braille display support.
  • New import/export user-interface and optimization for import/export functionality.

If there are still any 4S users besides myself around here, watch it with this update. It will run your ram to the limit and may fail to disguard the taken picture randomly, causing you to have to retake it.
