#NFB16 Audio: Navigate A 3d Audio Soundscape Through The Cities unlocked Project
Joe Steinkamp Wednesday, 20-Jul-2016 09:34 AM ET
Jarnail Chudge, with Microsoft UK, and Chancey take us on a journey where 3d audio could assist us in daily navigation. In concert with Guide Dogs UK, Jarnail provides an overview of the Cities unlocked program and a general description of their approach to aid existing mobility techniques. This fascinating interview contains Chancey s description of the convention demonstration, what cultural differences were observed between users on both sides of the Atlantic and concludes with some idea of what might be learned from the project s findings for practical use in a natural setting. To learn more about Cities unlocked, visit the project website.
2016 summer convention coverage is generously sponsored by HIMS, Inc., makers of the Blaze ET, BrailleSense U2, and the GoVision. Go make it happen with GoVision, the new transportable video magnifier with optical character recognition and the ability to enlarge and customize files, photos or videos from your cell phone, tablet or computer.
