Free Nearby Explorer Online Comes to the iPhone with Lots of Navigational Goodness

iOS users can now experience some of the power of their Nearby Explorer for free.
The American Printing House has brought the free version of Nearby Explorer to iOS devices, a stripped-down but still highly-functioning GPS app with a bunch of useful features.
At its core, Nearby Explorer provides a dashboard which displays information about your surroundings, including your current street, address and heading. You can browse for nearby businesses, get transit information for many cities, and navigate some indoor buildings using Bluetooth beacons.
The free version requires a data plan and Internet connectivity which the paid version does not, making it most useful in environments with good cell or wireless reception. For those who don't need the turn-by-turn guidance of the full version or want to try out Nearby Explorer before spending money, Nearby Explorer Online serves as an excellent introduction to the platform.
The full version of Nearby Explorer is still available for $79.99 and includes on-board maps and turn by turn navigation.
You can download the free version from the iTunes App Store.
