Hims releases an update for the Polaris, adding math fixes, android app fixes and more
Hims has recently released an update for the Polaris and Polaris mini, adding new features and enhancements. Read on for the change log, installation instructions, and more.
Of particular interest in 2020, you can now open links in emails and appointment apps directly in their appropriate Android app. Zoom YouTube and Teams links now open directly in their Android apps. You can now search for and uninstall apps. screen shot, screen recording and system log functions make it much easier to document and fix problems.
If your current software version is older than 30141, please note that you will need to contact support for the update, as it is not possible to upgrade from that version. It is recommended that you back up both your files and settings before attempting to upgrade the Polaris. Your battery should be above 40%, even if you are keeping the Polaris on AC power. Once the Polaris is updating, do not attempt to reset the unit. Depending on a number of factors, including the number of apps you have, the upgrade process may take up to an hour. The progress will show on the braille display, though you will not receive spoken feedback. After the update, all Polaris apps will also update.
You can update either online or with an SD card or USB stick.
