Freedom Scientific has announced the pending release of the Sapphire Portable Magnifier. Costing $1,895 in the U.S., it includes a 7-inch screen and weighs less than two pounds. A hand-writing camera is included, and it can be hooked up to a larger television for greater magnification. The unit is expected to ship in October.
