#atia2010: Humanware Teases KeySoft 9.1, Promises Trekker Breeze Update with Address Input

HumanWare is pushing out several updates to its products over the coming weeks. First, KeySoft 9.1 is the first major upgrade for the BrailleNote Apex family and will include support for WPA2 wireless encryption, Microsoft Word files, epub books, and NLS audiobooks. It will be a free update for Apex users. As for the Trekker Breeze, HumanWare is busily adding new functionality to partly compensate for the discontinuation of the original Trekker model. The upcoming release will include the ability to manually enter addresses, route reversals, and a customized website where users can set up points of interest which can then be downloaded to the unit. We are scheduling an interview with HumanWare to learn more about these developments, so watch Blind Bargains for more coverage in the coming weeks.
