The windows7 32bit IBM ThinkPad t42 laptop is still for sale at a price of $280. It has an 80gig hard drive, 2gigs of ram. It is unusual in that it does not have a windows key. you will need to press control escape to get to the start menu or get a key-remapping application to map the windows key to another key on the keyboard. It has only a single-core processor, but it still runs nice and fast for basic tasks such as web browsing, email, doing some basic audio editing and listening to music and watching videos and playing audio-games or some lite games in the web browser such as internet explorer or mozilla firefox.
