Classifieds: Note Taker and Braille Display for Sale

Hey there folks,

I have here two things I want to sell for some cash to help pay the bills, or for a trade of equivalent devices. First is a first-generation Brailliant 40-cell Braille display. The device is pretty simple, consisting of forty cells with accompanying cursor routing buttons and three navigation keys on either end. Unfortunately however, while this display is meant to be portable and is supported by IOS devices like IPhones and IPads, the battery on it has died, so it only works while plugged in. As it is, therefore, this display is ideal if you want a simple, no frills display for home or office use. I've tested it with Jaws, NVDA, OSX, and IOS and it works like it should. IT supports USB and Bluetooth connectivity. I'm asking six hundred bucks for this guy, though I would be willing to haggle over the price to a reasonable degree. Keep in mind that at the date of purchase this was almost three grand, and even though the battery doesn't work, the display itself is in perfect working order, with every dot being as crisp and reliable as it was when I first got it.

The second item on my need to get rid of list is my old Braille Note PK. I got this little guy back in 2008, right as I was starting college. Considering how old it is, it's served me quite well, and is a nice little device if you want a simple note taker with an 18-cell Braille Display, 8-dot Braille keyboard, a compact flash card slot, mini USB port for connecting to a computer, and an internal microphone and memo recorder. It does have some signs of use on it, since I've worked with it pretty consistently, but everything still works exactly as it should. It's currently running Keysoft version 7.5, Build 31, which is the latest upgrade my SMA allows. At date of purchase, this was almost six thousand dollars. Nevertheless, I realize that this note taker is quite old, has been used often, and its capabilities are limited by today's standards. Therefore, I'm asking for 500 dollars for it, which is less than ten percent of the original price.

For any or both of these items, all shipping charges are on me. For practicality's sake, I'm only shipping to U.S. addresses. Check or PayPal transactions accepted.
