If you're considering upgrading to a new iPhone this year, and you're planning to sell you're old one, you may want to look at trade in options. Some of the most popular options include: Gazelle, Amazon, Nextworth, and USell. It's important to note that the amount of money you will get for your trade is greater now then it will be after Apple announces the new iPhone.
Gazelle announced this week that if customers offer their trade in before the Apple event then they can lock in the current prices. For example, a 16 gig iPhone 5 would be worth $330 and a 16 gig iPhone 4S would be worth $185. Customers will have until Oct. 15th to send in their old device. The prices they are offering are not listed on their website, but it's easy to find out how much you would get by answering a few simple questions on their website. USell is more like Craigslist or EBay because you are putting your device up for sale and choosing a buyer. Knowing how much you'll get is going to depend on how much someone wants to pay you rather then the company deciding to give you a certain amount.
