Anyone know which end of a microphone you speak into to do a podcast? We've been a way for a while. However now that the summer shows have ended, we're back to recording shows in the studio and not in a hotel. And it seems like some big news was waiting for us to talk about. News so big that we thought Chancey Fleet should join us to discuss the week's events. There is a tip and an audio-based "Last Word" in there too. So kick up your heels and turn on the AC as we're saying good bye to the summer conventions on BBQ 109.
This episode is brought to you by HumanWare.
Last year HumanWare partnered with Google to launch the BrailleNote Touch, the world s first and only Google Certified braille tablet.
The BrailleNote Touch combines the simplicity and efficiency of the well-known KeySoft user experience, with the power and openness of a mainstream tablet.
Use the familiar KeySoft apps to accomplish your daily tasks of document creation, email, or internet browsing, while downloading any accessible app from the Google PlayStore. Once downloaded, KeySoft ensures those apps are efficient to use with braille. If you don t want to type on the Touch s included physical keyboard, you can type completely scilently on it s touch screen using the innovative TouchBraille typing system. With school starting back up, use KeyMath in your math classes, the all in one system which allows braille math to be converted to perfect looking print math in real time. And if you have not updated your Touch to version 4, it is live and waiting for you in the KeyUpdater app.
The BrailleNote Touch, The future is so close, you can touch it.

Discussion Topic: Big Stories From ACB/NFB Summer Conventions
The subject list is shallow but the conversation delves deeply into the major highlights of the summer conventions. Chancey, J.J. and Joe have some opinions and we hope you send along yours as well because there were some bombshells dropped in the A.T. world between episodes 107 to 109.
Tip: Barcode Reading on Demand
J.J. demonstrates some features of the Seeing AI app which can be used to identify products.
The march to the winter announcements begins in a month or so. That leaves us a few shows to provide more "catch up" coverage before we start talking about phones and watches. Next week, we'll cover some of the other news that passed by while we were away.
