We haven t seen a firmware update for the EnVision I.D. Mate Galaxy in a long time. However, with CSUN right around the corner, some bits and bytes have emerged from the ether for Galaxy owners looking for some much anticipated fixes. Here s a rundown of what the latest update contains.
Software Update Version 3.2.0 is now available for download.
Here are the changes within this release:
Added network speed utility in System Mode, under System Information. Fixed automatic Date and Time issue when setting to your current location. Fixed a shut-down issue in I D Mode when scanning custom barcodes. Fixed inconsistent battery values. Also included in this release are other general bug fixes and performance improvements.
Here s changes from our previous update, Version 3.1.0:
Reduction in boot up time by 13 seconds. Support for previous I D Mode online search results in Inventory and Scan History Modes. Created Web Companion Link located on micro SD card.
THERE ARE SEVERAL WAYS TO UPDATE YOUR I D MATE GALAXY SOFTWARE
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.
If you are, connected to a Wi-Fi network, follow these instructions.
After connecting the I D mate Galaxy to your Wi-Fi network, you will need go to the System Mode and search for Software Update. Follow the prompts to download the software. After downloading, you will be prompted to turn your unit off and then back on again. After turning the unit back on, the installation of the software will begin. When the installation has completed, you will be prompted to turn your unit off and then back on again.
If you cannot connect to a Wi Fi Network, you have the following options.
Software downloads can also be obtained via 1. email, or by a 2. Log Me In Rescue, computer technical console session. If we email the software to you, you will then need to connect your unit to a computer via the USB cable and then copy the update files to the GALAXY:/download/update folder on your micro SD card. The other option is to connect your Galaxy to an internet connected computer via USB cable, and allow a technician to conduct a remote support session.
