Software update for the BrailleNote Touch Plus adds pdf support, sign in with google, and more


A new software update is available for the BrailleNote Touch Plus. The new update adds the ability to open and read pdf's directly, sign in with google, user guide updates and more.

To install the update, press a cursor routing button above the notification of the update that appears when connected to the internet. If you do not receive a notification, press a to jump to all applications from the main menu and select it, press the k key untill you hear key updater and press enter, and finally press enter on application update. This update is only available for the BrailleNote Touch Plus.

This update provides the ability to open PDF documents directly from the KeyWord and KeyFiles applications. KeyWord extracts the text from the PDF and provides the ability to read it directly. No formatting information is extracted from the PDF.

You can now sign into Google directly using the oAuth authentication protocol. Using 3rd party applications to access your Google account is no longer required. Additionally, KeyMail is now an officially Google supported email client.

Finally, the Spanish version of the user guide has been updated.
