Interview: Winston Chen of VoiceDream

We've spoken about the new VoiceDream Scanner several times since the app's initial release. This week Winston Chen drops by to discuss the app's development process, the costs involved with OCR licensing and how privacy through scanning on device has become more feasible. The duo also delves into how VoiceDream Reader and Scanner can work together or independently. Since 2012, Winston has been providing innovative and affordable solutions with a small team. He explains how it is possible to stay lean and why that matters to him as they consider a new platform for their products. This is a must listen for those who are interested in learning more about machine learning, image recognition and live video detection.

'Lydia Alverson' sent in her Experience about playing with Legos.

Dear BBQ team,

I really enjoyed playing with legos as a kid. I remember when I was twelve, my dad got me a huge box of legos, and I was hooked. One time, I sat in my room for two hours, building my version of a jetliner. All I really needed back then was my imagination. I never thought that legos could be made in braille, which would be helpful for kids that are learning it.

Thanks for another great show.
Sincerely,
Lydia Alverson
