Twitterific Releases iOS Update With Several Enhancements for VoiceOver Users

The latest update to Twitterific for iOS includes several improvements for VoiceOver users. With the May 2 update, which is version 5.14.3, there is now support for descriptions of images.

For those wishing to include image descriptions, after attaching the photo to the tweet, they can tap on the thumb nail of the picture and add the text they would like to accompany the photo. If an image has a text description, it will automatically be read by VoiceOver. Improvements have also been made to the actions rotor, the way Twitterific handles selected tweets, and some enhancements to the way Twitterific handles keyboard support. This version also fixed a couple of bugs related to direct messages, and another related to the synchronization of VoiceOver with the visual UI. For more details, see the source link.

Cool. I got the update but haven't played with it yet. I wonder if it stops saying refreshing content while in the background now. It'd be nice not to have to kill the app every time I'm done with it.

Replying to myself, they've fixed it somewhat. It happens less frequently that it says refreshing content while in the background, however it still sneaks through sometimes.

I'm using it with a braille display, and have not noticed that, but I'll see if I can duplicate with speech on. I at least give them credit for trying their best.
