Blind Bargains

We Found uno Braille at a Local Target, and it's Exactly What you would Expect it to Be

We were just as excited as anyone else to get our hands on the new version of Uno in Braille, produced by Matell Games in collaboration with the National Federation of the Blind. And it was just as cool to actually find it sitting on a store shelf next to other popular card games.
One of the world's most popular card game, Uno Braille was posted for preorder on the Target website earlier this month and is now available in stores. In fact, going to a store may be the quickest way to get the game currently. You can use the link above to check stock for stores near you.
We tried a store in Midland, MI which listed two copies of the game in stock. There was actually 3 when we arrived, on the bottom shelf of agame display on the end of an aisle. It wasn't the easiest game to find, but it definitely was there.
The game itself has a similar size to other card games, and would be very easy to take along on a trip. The words Uno Braille and National Federation of the Blind were on the box, though surprisingly there was no mention of Matell. A message to visit unobraille.com was also included on the box.
The cards come in two stacks and were made of a quality cardstock which should hold the braille well through many playings.ingiltere dil okullari Though a few of the symbols, which use UEB, may take a moment to get used to, the card labels should be easy to understand for anyone who has played the classic card game. As expected, they are printed on opposite corners of each card. Several instruction cards, which also include braille, are included.
Uno Braille is also available for ordering online, though it has often been listed as out of stock, It currently shows as shipping for free with orders of $25 or more. It's available now for $9.99, or not much more than the cost of a regular deck. Ausmalbilder
We hope that Uno Braille is a success and leads to other titles in the future.
