More Info

Be prepared to announce your name, the device on which you are speaking, like phone or computer, and the type of mic you are using, wireless or wired. Announce the approximate price if you know.
Mention what type of room you are in like hard office or soft bedroom.
Please put a link in the chat if you have one for the mic you are using.
Make sure you know where the Raise Hand option is located as this is how we will call on people. This is Alt+Y on Windows or Option+Y on the Mac. ON the phone, it is under the More menu.
Please make sure your name is listed in your Zoom Settings and not just your device name.
*If you call a phone number to join the meeting, your sound quality will be poor. It is best to use the link and Internet audio. ON the phone, select Join via Device Audio once in the meeting.

Here are some tips:

Download and configure the Zoom app including testing your mic and speakers. Please observe the following Zoom etiquette.
Mute your audio when not speaking. To toggle Mute on the computer, press Alt+A in Windows or Command+Shift+A on the Mac. On a mobile device, there is a button on the main screen to mute or unmute your audio.
Change your name so it shows in the participant list as you and not your device name.
A mic close to your mouth will provide the best sound. Some built-in computer or webcam mics may make you sound like you are in a barrel. If you are going to use an internal mic, make sure it is pointed directly at you.
Consider using the Original Sound setting in Zoom if you have the Pro version.
*To avoid verbally stepping on each other, say your name and wait to be recognized. Use the Participant list to text-chat with individuals or to the entire group.

Let s keep social distancing to physical spaces and do our best to sound, feel and look close online.
