Blind Bargains

Free RFB&D Keys Available for the BookSense

Free user Authorization Keys are now available for the BookSense and BookSense XT from Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic.. RFB&D now offers free accounts to any legally blind person in the U.S.. To authorize your BookSense, you will need your serial number from the unit. The RFB&D page asks for a 10-digit serial number, so add leading zeros before your number to make it 10 digits. If you have an RFB&D account, your key will be generated immediately. Update: GW Micro has posted a knowledge base article with more information on installing an RFB&D key.

As a heads up, hope all of you who are attempting to get your players authorized have your RFB&D number committed to memory. Otherwise, you might as well wait until Monday. You won't find it on the site in your account info, and their customer service center is only open during regular business hours.

That number is the same for everyone. If you don't remember it, I'm sure it's out on the web somewhere.
