Yesterday, Apple unveiled its 3rd-generation iPad with prices starting at $499 shipped! It will be available on March 16,.
Notable enhancements include a 9.7" 2048x1536 Retina display, A5x dual-core processor with quad-core graphics, 5-megapixel iSight camera with 1080p video recording, voice dictation, 4G LTE for AT&T or Verizon, and a personal hotspot feature (depending on carrier support). It also features 802.11n wireless, Bluetooth 4.0, a front FaceTime camera, and up to 10 hours of battery life (same as the iPad 2). It's 9.4mm thick and weighs 1.4 lbs., both up slightly from the iPad 2.
