BARD Mobile App for iOS Released

Perhaps the most anticipated app for the iPhone and iPod has now been released. Now you can listen to audiobooks and read selections from the Braille book library from the National Library Service BARD app, available for free download. Follow the link on this post to download the app. From the description: "The BARD Mobile app provides access to braille and talking books directly from the
NLS Braille and Audio Reading Download (BARD). BARD contains nearly 50,000 books,
magazines, and music scores in audio and braille formats, with new selections added
daily. With BARD Mobile, you can play the audio materials on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod
Touch. If your device is connected to a refreshable braille display through Bluetooth,
you can also read the braille materials available on BARD."

Only most anticipated for those who think they're entitled to free books, paid by 99% of the US population who will never be able to listen to them. For the rest of us, we *buy* our books. You know, like normal people. Want equal treatment, act like it!

Hmm. I take it this guy has never heard of something called a library before, or if he has, never had a library card. I guess if he's so angry about blind and visually impaired people being able to listen to books for free, maybe he should get himself a library card; and either go down to the library and borrow a book, or download one of the other library apps available in the App Store so that he can listen to books for free too.
