Hims has posted a free firmware update for the Blaze EZ Multiplayer, bringing it up to version 1.1. This version enables playback of National Library Service titles, includes a directory for Internet radio stations, and also features improved OCR capabilities for more typefaces. A smattering of additional bug fixes are also included. The update can be downloaded wlirelessly from the Blaze unit itself. We've included the complete changelog from Hims below.

Added Options menu
i. Language option for setting Guide voice language and date format.
ii. Book voice option for setting language of book voice.
iii. Added Indian and Australian English voices.
Added library Services Menu
i. Moved Online DAISY Download here.

- Use Down arrow to move to more specific designations.
- Use Up arrow to return to more general categories.
- Use Left and Right arrows to move among items in a category or book list.
- From a book list, press Select to open options for reading detailed info or downloading the focused book.
- Web Radio
Added database of stations to search.
i. Press and hold Explorer key to download database to unit.
ii. When database is loaded, short press Explorer to open Search Mode.
iii. Use Up and Down arrows to move among category, country, language, genre and channels. Use Left and Right arrows to move among items in a list.
Added BBC stations to the default channel list.
Added command for initialize Options.
i. Press and hold OCR.
ii. While holding OCR, press reset until you hear the beep.
iii. Continue to hold OCR for 5 seconds.
iv. Unit will boot, run initialization and reboot again.
Major bug fixes
- Book Reader
Fixed a problem where some BookShare books would not read until the end.
Fixed problems reading and navigating HTML and EPUB documents.
- Web radio
Fixed the problem of adding multiple copies of channels to the channel list.
Raised the volume of the internal microphone.
Changed the format of recording file names.
Fixed the problem of some feeds not updating.
- Media Player
Added beep sound when Equalizer option is set to “Normal”.
Fixed the problem of not connecting to WPA-PSK networks.
Fixed the problem of ruining the disk structure if an ExFAT SD card is inserted.
Improved recognition for documents with 12 and 10 point font.
- Time and Date
Fixed problems setting time when it matched 0 GMT.
Fixed problems following Daylight savings Time correctly.
